About Gamescry

Gamescry is a small daily puzzle for people who love video games. Instead of screenshots, it asks you to reason like a detective: every guess reveals facts about the hidden game, and you narrow it down until the orb shows the answer.

Where the data comes from

The game list covers several hundred titles from the 1970s to today, from arcade classics to recent releases. Each entry uses public facts: original release year, lead development studio, the studio's country, genres, main camera view and available modes. Some categories involve judgment, for example when several studios worked on one game. If you spot a mistake, please let us know.

Fair play

Gamescry is free to play and needs no account. Your progress and statistics are stored only in your own browser.
